Our client, a leading Broadcast & Media organisation located in London is seeking an experienced Broadcast Support Engineer who can supervise hardware and broadcast systems that are used across their TV network and provide a ‘systems integrator’ approach to technical support on various systems. They’re seeking an Engineer as opposed to pure Operations support, someone who understand system integration with broadcasting systems and equipment.

Broadcast Support Engineer responsibilities;

  • Technical broadcasting system support including; Playout Center, Studio, Tapeless Production System, Editing Suites, ENG equipment and IT and Network Infrastructure
  • Maintain specialist equipment for video production, broadcast and satellite transmission and interactive media
  • Minimise loss of service when equipment fails by quickly identifying and implementing alternative methods of service to ensure no blackouts
  • Analyze and repair technical faults on equipment and systems
  • Setting up and operating editing facilities for post production
  • Setting up and operating equipment and transmission links outside live broadcasts

Broadcast Support Engineer background & skills

  • Minimum of 3 years in Broadcasting, but preferably more than 5 years
  • Strong technical understanding of broadcasting systems, specifically in key areas such as;
    • Production Systems / Studio equipment; Camera, Vision Mixers, Audio Mixers etc
    • Playout Automation Systems
    • Systems used in Newsroom environments
  • Strong Systems Integration background

MCR Engineer

MCR Operator

Our client, a leading Broadcasting organisation is seeking an experienced MCR Operator / Transmission Controller to join their MCR in London. The MCR Operator will work as part of a team receiving live feeds and records feeds via Satellite, MPLS, CDN, Fibre, Q-Lins and 3G/4G devices such as TVU.
Responsibilities of MCR Operator;

  • Undertake monitoring Control of the channel off air and escalation process with DTH providers
  • Effectively receive and record Feeds (Live 2way / Tape feed) and Live Programs via Satellite, MPLS, CDN, Fibre, Q-links and 3G-4G cellular devises such as TVU
  • Controlling the quality of receiving Feeds
  • Monitor the receiving tape feeds and live programs
  • Use Data-miner in controlling and monitoring all MCR equipment and highlight if any alarm appears in critical devices
  • Pointing the steerable antenna to the required satellites and reduce the action time
  • Add sources/maintain the monitoring system
  • Coordinate effectively with operators in the field to support remote operations via satellite, fibre, and IP networks
  • Identify faults and take immediate preventative action to restore traffic
  • Undertake routine testing, preventative and corrective maintenance of transmission systems and ancillary equipment
  • Report technical issues to Handovers and Ticketing System

Background & Skills from MCR Operator;

  • Up to date and familiar with MCR Systems/Equipment
  • Experienced in a 24 hour support Master Control Room
  • Good foundation understanding of satellite communication technology including Downlink, Uplinks, L-band Matrix, IRD’s and spectrum Analysers
  • Confident understanding of Broadcasting standards including 3G-SDI, HDSDI 1080i, SDI, AES/EBU, MPEG, PAL 625, NTSC 525 and Relevant measurement tools
  • Good knowledge of Video Compression
  • Good knowledge of Broadcast media server workflows – Ingest – Transcoding
  • IP networks (TCP/IP, FTP, UDP, Streaming and Store and Forward)
  • Understanding of newsroom production systems and procedures

The Senior Performance Marketing Manager will be responsible for the full scope of the established digital channels including PPC, Paid Social, Affiliates, META and Display across all platforms.

This role not only requires an exceptional understanding of online transactional behaviour but also expertise in driving offline sales /enquiries through online acquisition and delivering 360 analysis.


  • Devise a digital performance marketing strategy alongside the Marketing Director in line with business goals
  • Direct and implement strategies across PPC, META and re-marketing channels, optimising activity to drive profitable growth
  • Lead, motivate and mentor the performance marketing team and set objectives and KPIs to ensure constant growth and successful performance

  • Creation and implementation of regular (daily, weekly) in-depth campaign performance analysis for relevant stakeholders demonstrating conversion and ROI
  • Regular audits on all performance marketing channels to ensure activity is running effectively
  • Elicit customer insights and incorporate them into ongoing campaigns
  • Manage day to day relationships with relevant stakeholders of all departments (SEO, Sales/Trading, Product, Commercial, Ecommerce, Brand Marketing)
  • Keeping up to date with current digital and industry trends
  • Manage relationships with media owners and third party agencies to ensure the brands receive maximum support


  • Proven experience of being in a senior digital role for a minimum 5 years, across large accounts
  • Strong understanding of the customer’s omni channel journey and know how to optimise biddable media channel performance
  • Significant experience of implementing digital strategies including PPC, Display, Paid Socail and META
  • Exceptional skills in Google Adwords/Analytics
  • Strong data analysis skills and the ability to identify new opportunities
  • Previous management experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve KPIs
  • Passionate about digital innovation and customer management
  • Strong organisational skills to keep tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment and be able to communicate to all levels within an organisation
