Our client is looking for a Warehouse Operative in a contracted position who can handle the needs required to thrive within a busy warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be expected to handle the requests of the Warehouse Manager with competency and skill, showing a clear willingness to succeed.

Job Location: Draycott in the Clay (DE65BP)
Start Date: ASAP
Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 09:00-17:00
Contract Length: 2 Month (Finishing 24th December)
Rate:£15.00 per hour (Inside IR35)

Warehouse Operative Responsibilities

  • Support the logistics department with inbound and outbound deliveries
  • Labelling and packing items ready for dispatch
  • Support Warehouse Manager with other administrative duties
  • Adhere to onsite Health and Safety

Here at Comvergent we make networks work, and due to promising business growth in 2022 and beyond are seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join our Warehouse Logistics team in Saltney, Chester.

Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for the set up and day to day management of the consumables and customer allocated kit as well as stock reporting via several operating systems.

The Logistics Coordinator is also responsible for:

  • Inventory Stock:
    • Identifying new inventory items and booking stock into inventory
    • Processing inventory ‘pick lists’ i.e., issue inventory from stock to engineer/job
    • Managing minimum/maximum levels
    • Confirming supplier pricing, reorder process
  • Logistics movements:
    • Confirming collections/deliveries with PMO
    • Maintaining accurate stock records alongside ensuring correct information is communicated between key stakeholders i.e., PMO, engineers and partners
    • Allocation to suppliers – Quote/PO against relevant job/receipt
  • Improve utilisation i.e., multiple drops/collections per trip to achieve delivery SLA on site

We would welcome candidates with the following skills and experience:

  • Experience with stock management systems and processes
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention detail
  • Detailed understanding of Microsoft Office and ability to pick up new systems
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Clear understanding and appreciation of health and safety procedures
