Project Finance Administrator

Comvergent have an opportunity in it’s Head Office in Chester for a Project Finance Coordinator to join our team. Reporting to the Project Finance Coordinator you will act as a conduit between the project delivery team and the finance function ensuring that accurate information and data can be easily accessed to help the business assess all areas of financial performance, principally profitability, billing progress and future performance.

Project Finance Administrator responsibilities;

  • To gather all information relating to projects billing cycles including:
  • Keeping accurate records of PO and matching it to work completed
  • Ensuring the project keeps an accurate list of work completed with values assigned to it.
  • Raising sales invoices, based on customer approval and work completed
  • Escalating issues around acceptance and out PO cover to the customer and working with them effectively to solve any issues as quickly as possible
  • Ensuring company’s ERP system is up to date with all PO numbers

Experience required from Project Finance Administrator;

  • Previous Finance Administration experience
  • Clear communication skills
  • Flexibility in approach to work
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Previous ERP exposure would be beneficial
  • Minimum 5 GSCEs A*-C required (including Mathematics)

Project Manager

Comvergent currently have an exciting opportunity for a telecoms Project Manager to join our Chester office. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing the successful delivery of projects while ensuring contracted levels of service are maintained.
Project Manager responsibilities;

  • Attend client review meetings / conference calls and respond to client escalations / feedback
  • Acting as a client point of contact and monitor delivery/performance against client expectations
  • Manage the P&L of the account to ensure milestones are met
  • Manage work in progress
  • Implement delivery improvement plans
  • Line manage several project coordinators
  • Own and manage daily project delivery including;
    • Quality and timelines of operational and handover documentation
    • PIVs, RAMS, Access Requests, Outage Requests, HOPs etc
    • Monthly project planning reporting vs SLA to customer and internally

Background of Project Manager;

  • At least 2 years recent telecoms project management experience. Telecommunications background is essential.
  • A recognised Project Management qualification (PMI, Prince 2 etc)

  • Current knowledge of network technologies across fixed and mobile infrastructure
  • Excellent communication skills that encourage strong relationships internally and externally

Responsibilities of Field Delivery & Resource Manager;

  • Proactively manage, coach and develop a high performing and motivated team which delivers a trained, capable and flexible engineering resource with transferable skills to meet and exceed our customers SLA
  • Responsible for ensuring safe working practices for all employees and agents within field services and ensuring the appropriate training and health and safety requirements/standards are met
  • Responsible for the effective management of all regional personnel, including motivating and leading the team, establishing performance objectives and personal development plans.
  • Responsible for developing and ensuring the Field Services resource plan is aligned to current and future customer requirements

Essential Skills & Experience;

  • 5+ years experience of managing widely dispersed teams in Telecoms (Field Engineer resource)
  • Strong knowledge of Microwave deployment planning
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Budget management experience (forecasting and control)
  • Workforce management processes and systems experience

Comvergent are looking to add a Project Planning Manager to their PMO function in the Chester (HQ) office. The Project Planning Manager will provide line management to project managers and ensure they proactively deliver a trained, capable and suitably dimensioned engineering resource to meet our customer’s expectations and the service level agreement in line with performance and delivery requirements.

Responsibilities of Project Planning Manager include;

  • Managing the PMO team and ensure the successful delivery/performance against client expectations
  • Attend customer review meetings
  • Taking ownership of project processes, monitoring, reviewing and improving the following;
    • Financial – Bids (RFQ)/Quotes/PO/Contract and Variation
    • Hardware and materials
    • Logistics / Delivery
    • Scheduling – Survey/Build/Resources
    • Handover – HOPs
    • Time recording / resource cost recording
  • Responsible line for Project Managers
  • Oversee the effective Profit and Loss (P&L)
  • Implement delivery improvement plans where appropriate

Comvergent have a fantastic opportunity available in our Chester office working in the PMO function as a Project Coordinator. The Project Coordinator will be working on technical engineering telecommunications projects that Comvergent deliver to large customers.
Project Coordinator responsibilities include;

  • Collate and generate job packs / Handover packs (HOP’s)
  • Act as point of contact for HOP exception clearance/resolution
  • Manage resource requirements within the team using the project tracker
  • Ensure the internal and external client tracker is accurate
  • Ensure internal trackers and database with client system, ensuring alignment and correct data input
  • Review materials / picklists and escalating any issues to the relevant specialist for resolution (Rigging/I&C/Transmission)

Experience required;

  • Project Coordination experience within Telecoms (essential)
  • Project delivery experience withing Telecoms (essential)
  • Working in a busy team

Telecommunication Engineer

Telecommunications Engineer

Location: Chester, North West of England

Comvergent are seeking a BT accredited Telecommunication Engineers for a large scale Telecommunications FTTC project in the UK. If no BT certificates are present, Comvergent can supply this through training, but experience pulling cable, terminating into PCP or DSLAM is essential

Working in 2 man teams the Telecommunication Engineer will be responsible for;

  • A55 Surveying of existing BT PCP / DSLAM ducting and cabinets in readiness for PCP upgrade requirements, and completing required documentation.
  • Cable pulling between PCP cabinets and DSLAM access points.
  • Kroning down of 100 pair cables within the DSLAM and PCP cabinets.
  • Side pod install
  • DSLAM card installation and SWAP upgrade activities.

Background requirements;

  • Ideally BT accredited / certified
  • Previous experience working on PCP / DSLAM roadside cabinets (e-side, d-side)
  • Understands how to use a Kroning tool within the DSLAM and PCP cabinets
  • NRSWA certified
  • Safety and Craft modules; Underground, Location of U/G Services, Tie Cable installation and termination.
  • FTTC RDSLAM Copper
