Acquisition Design Engineer

Job Title – Acquisition Design Engineer

Job Role:

We are looking for an Acquisition Design Engineer/Surveyor, construction manager who will coordinate all delivery requirements relating to an assigned portfolio with respect to the ADC phase of new build and upgrade projects and 3rd party providers applications. You will support the A&D and Construction leads in setting up and reviewing processes, tools and systems for potential or proposed acquisitions ensuring they are aligned with the clients property and local authority planning policies.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure work is executed as per the project requirements and will act as a point of contact for delivery activities towards the Customer Delivery Organisation, Third Parties assigned by the clients project organisation and internal Partners relating to their portfolio of sites.
  • The role is primarily to provide services relating to the Acquisition, Design and Construction of the clients LTE & 5G RAN solutions but may also include In Building, Infrastructure and Antenna line solutions.
  • Accountable for ADC service delivery of the project deliverables through from start to finish to ensure all tasks are completed as per SLA’s and forecasts.
  • Collaborate within a small internal ADC team with both onshore and offshore presence, defining Customer forecasts and setting ambitious targets.
  • Updating Customer and Internal tools and collaborating with the Customer
  • Being responsible for the review of all designs issued via the effective management of 3rd party Design suppliers.
  • Attend Customer and Supplier meetings and handle all finance requirements relating to ADC services

Experience

  • 5 years proven experience in Acquisition, Design and Construction management within the Telecoms sector
  • Previous acquisition and design management experience and good eye for detail
  • Experience of effective supplier and partner management.
  • Exoerience of CDM2015 and OHS practices.
  • Good working knowledge and understanding of site design guidelines and specifications
  • Able to identify potential risks and issues related to rollout and raise or proactively handle accordingly.
  • Excellent IT and database skills, in particular MS Excel
  • Effective communication and facilitation skills.

RAN Design Engineer

We are now looking for a RAN Design Engineer responsible for analysing, crafting and developing commercially viable RAN Solutions for our customers in UK.
You will also provide profitable business for the client by translating customer needs, and technology opportunities into detailed technical offerings, solutions and proposals.
As RAN Design SME you will interface with the customer, handling all aspects of High Level Design and Detailed Design for LTE & 5G, including radio hardware, software, parameters & feature introduction.

Responsibilities

  • Produce the Radio Design for deployment of the clients LTE & 5G RAN solutions into customer’s Radio Access Network. As 4G RAN Design SME, you are responsible for producing the High Level and Detailed Designs, working closely with Customer’s technical counterparts and stakeholders.
  • Delivering all design activities required for successful introduction and acceptance of new radio hardware, software and features, enabling the rollout of LTE and 5G across all customer site types.
  • You will be working on RBS Solutions using the latest ERS products, Radio, Baseband and Site Solutions
  • Prepare HLD (High Level Design) for 4G/5G RAN Solutions, based on customer network architecture, business & spectrum strategy, considering E2E impact.
  • Produce Detailed Designs for RAN Hardware, Software & feature introduction, including Radio node configurations (layouts and connectivity diagrams for baseband/radio/antenna sub-system) and detailed mobility, feature and parameter design.
  • Planning the lab testing of any hardware, software or feature, define acceptance test & trial requirements, for each product or feature introduction. Plan, organise and deliver live trials in customer network.
  • Produce guidelines and engineering documentation suitable for use by implementation teams.

Experience

  • 8 years of RAN Design experience with Ericsson Radio products
  • Experience of Ericsson Radio System products (ERS)
  • Expert knowledge of LTE parameters and features

RAN Performance Engineer

Responsibilities

  • You will work within the Network Design Optimisation team providing Performance management, explaining KPI trends and impacts.
  • You will be responsible for organising network trials articulating the purpose both internally and externally, documenting proposals, preparing scripts, executing changes for trials.
  • Findings will be documented, analysed and the results presented to the client at management and technical level.
  • Recommendations for Network Performance improvement will then be taken forward and implemented.
  • As the Senior RAN Performance Engineer you must have strong presentation skills and possess the ability to explain clearly the clients strategy, conclusions and recommendations for parameter changes and feature usage to drive RAN Performance improvement.
  • You will also work closely with the Acceptance team to ensure that deployment activities are not compromised, and the other parts of the organisation are coordinated and aligned with any 4G related feature or parameter implementation into the Network

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of RAN 4G Design and Optimisation experience with radio products
  • Advanced understanding of RAN KPIs for performance monitoring, optimisation techniques, features and processes of 2G,3G,4G & 5G technologies
  • Advanced understanding of 2G,3G,4G & 5G Air interface standards, protocols and propagation characteristics
  • Proven experience troubleshooting complex RAN site performance issues in a multivendor environment on RAN Swap and RAN Refresh projects (in a post change verification/Post Performance Monitoring scenario) in order to achieve customer acceptance
  • Must have knowledge of tools such as (E-DOS and/or DOP), ENM (radio configuration), AMOS, FAST, ITK, log readers/tools, tracing capabilities, able to view and analyse CTR’s, interpret L3 messaging

RAN Databuild Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Databuild & Commissioning & Integration SME who will support our clients Architecture Databuild and Scripting activities and support Commissioning & Integration Activities topics relating to Network Rollout (NRO) of the clients Radio Products.

Collaborating with the overall Delivery Lead, the databuild engineer role will involve the planning and management of the Databuild & Commissioning & Integration services needed to secure an efficient delivery process and a timely customer acceptance.

This role will include making sure work is executed as per the project requirements and will act as a subject matter expert for all Databuild and Scripting activities and supporting Commissioning & Integration activities; towards,

  • Customer Delivery Organisation,
  • Third Parties instructed by the client
  • Client’s Onshore Project and internal stakeholders
  • Client’s Offshore Project Organisation

The role is primarily to provide Databuild services and Commissioning & Integration support relating to the DICI of the clients 2G, 35 4G & 5G RAN solutions but may also include In-Building, Infrastructure and Antenna line solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the delivery of Databuild services supporting the deployment of the clients equipment.
  • Organise and coordinate the Site Databuild services, ensuring that they are delivered in line with the contractual requirements.
  • Support the Offshore teams and Third parties to deliver Site Databuild services through a controlled program of works ensuring that all services are undertaken to budget and within SLA.
  • Ensure Delivery critical metric measures are in place and continually reported on.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in the production of scripts for 2G.35,45 & 5G RAN solutions.
  • Act on important metric issues by investigating and implementing corrective actions
  • Translation of customer documentation and process guides into specific Site Databuild guidelines to support the clients rollout activities.
  • Support Field Engineers Remotely to Commission and Integrate Nodes into the customer networks Fault free and passing expected KPI’s for performance..
  • Actively handle issues or dependencies throughout the delivery cycle that may impact the acceptance of a site deployment.
  • Ensure relevant information is maintained in the project tools and that all documentation is handled in a structured manner and uploaded to the required repositories.

RAN Test Engineer

Job Description:

We are now looking for a Test Engineer who will be required to co-ordinate and execute testing of multivendor Radio nodes solutions in the Customer RAN Test Lab, planning the test deliveries during the test execution phase. The tester will also be responsible for the build and integration of the Multivendor RAN elements into the test plan and its maintenance (HW and SW configuration) until end of test bed project.

In this position you will also take part in defining the multivendor Test Strategies for New Major Software Releases and new Hardware Introduction, along with the delivery of Test Reports & Test Exit Reports for the Final Delivery to the customer in each Test Phase

Responsibilities

  • The test Engineer has the overall responsibility for planning the test deliveries during the test execution phase, plan day to day test bed activities and execute testing of multivendor RAN nodes solutions in the Customer RAN Test Lab. Also, you will implement Test Strategies for New Major Software Releases and new Hardware Introduction and conduct the testing environment feasibility study on Network Impact Reports and use the inputs for defining test strategy and Test Plan.
  • Take a role on the development strategy for adoption of automated testing, production of test plans for all Radio test deliveries and liaise with customer and agree on test scope and test plan. Also, you will be responsible for preparing and management of multivendor test activities on day to day basis, monitor the progress, test execution rate, and mitigate any risks affecting the testing. Follow up high priority issues from test phases, seeking for early resolutions and design updates (liaise with design team) perform impact analysis and plan schedules for design update implementation on to the Test Environment.
  • You will provide support TCM activities for Test Bed, ensuring network elements are on correct baseline, participate in customer meetings for test progress reviews, drive the testing Interface to RAN design, deliver test reports and the exits repots for the final delivery to costumer in each Test Phase. Perform parameter audits of RAN elements in Lab and scripting for automated execution of test cases.

Experience

  • Several years of Test Engineering or similar.

This role is responsible for providing engineering Service functions to support the Ran Operation area by analysing, designing and developing commercially viable end-to-end solutions based on the customer specifications and business needs. The role will have responsibility to meet with the customer while also leading the interface with the clients Service Delivery Unit (SDU) to secure performance and lifecycle of the Service.

Responsibilities

  • Drive E2E customer solutions – discuss with customer regarding the technology strategy and key challenges.
  • The overall E2E technical architecture of the Service. Deep understanding and knowledge of the 2G,4G & 5G Ran solution.
  • The technical planning and design of a New Service, or change / update to an existing Service. Includes necessary configuration design for the applications and infrastructure. and Service Catalogue Management.
  • The technical management of the Service throughout its lifecycle. Includes roadmap, change / release management, demand and capacity management, deployment and termination, along with the required testing and evaluation of the Service to support the customer experience.
  • Support the Service Operations Governance both internally and with the customer for the Ran Operations in the contract, to also include Program & Demand Management.
